Experimenting with various forms of block elements allowed for maximum lighting. The exterior spaces were designed to reflect the many hidden courtyards and closes which hide amongst the City of Edinburgh. The blocks seem to glow at night due to the busy architecture students working through the evening.
The intention was for the building to be seen from the Edinburgh Castle courtyard and become an creative hub and beacon of light amongst the city. A place for community and creative minds to gather and express themselves.
