The Scaffolding for biodiversity design functions as a bridge between indoor and outdoor climatic conditions through a biodiverse micro-climate which utilises the heat emitted by invisible pipes to activate the ecotone space. This project studies the Zollverein School of Management and Design by SANNA Architects and adapts it to take into consideration the wider impacts of the building in the context of the climate emergency and future potential climatic conditions on the macro scale.
